Dealing with bad circulation (possible Raynaud’s syndrome) in feet

This has been a problem for me for years, but I'll be 43 in October so I feel like maybe I should find ways to deal with the circulation in my feet. The workarounds I've found are using an electric blanket and elevating my feet (thankfully I have an adjustable bed.) During the day, however, […]

Assistive app

Here is another article for you.

So amongst my other issues, I am recently having problems with my hands not moving right, can’t sit up long or see very well. It’s incredibly frustrating and has left me not using the computer or laptop as much as my phone. On my phone I can lay down and speak to it. Much of what I do for work is of course on the computer. So I went searching for a solution and found this app called Remote Mouse.

Basically you can control your laptop or tower from your phone or tablet. You link them together and can “type” full documents. Yesterday I did a three page document with it and then proofed it in Grammarly. I was so excited! Basically you download the app to your phone and then go to your computer to link them. It’s free, but there are features within the app you can pay for. For example I paid $1.99 for certain options to use.

Anyway this is a long post. It may be old news to some, but I hope if someone is newly struggling with decreased function it will help the… Read More

It’s hard to stay positive and have compassion for myself (43F) when I compare myself to other self-employed people who seem to succeed easily. I try to remember that different starting circumstances make different challenges.

Because of various physical, social, and mental challenges, it isn't realistic for either my boyfriend or I to get a regular job. We are both in the process of applying for disability benefits, but that process is moving at a glacial speed. So we do everything we can to keep ourselves afloat. I sell things […]

For those with visible disabilities, how do you get people to see YOU, and not your condition? Especially looking for work?

Here is another article for you.

I'm a 26 year old guy that's in a wheelchair. I've been looking for a job since I've been legally able to but have only had a paying job for two months before my boss let me go due to "other plans" about my position. I might be wrong and paranoid but I feel like employers might make a decision on me the second they see me in the chair. Any tips on making people see me and not the chair? I know this probably sounds like I'm just making excuses for just sucking at interviews, which I also admit I do.
